T-shirt rouge, patron Ottobre

Un simple t-shirt, mais dans un tissu très agréable, un jersey lourd contenant de la viscose. Un vrai plaisir à porter ! Ce vêtement fait partie de mon projet Sewing With a Plan 2017, à l'initiative du forum Stitchers' Guild qui est hélas hors ligne pour le moment. 

Vous avez déjà vu la jupe ici, et le patron que j'ai utilisé pour le t-shirt est celui de cette robe. J'ai juste allongé les manches et supprimé la couture du milieu dos.

Comme l'endroit du tissu était grisé par de petites fibres blanches, j'ai choisi l'envers pour la face visible.

Red t-shirt from an Ottobre pattern

This is a simple piece but in a great heavy rayon/viscose jersey knit fabric. I love wearing it ! This garment is part of my SWAP 2017 Project, hosted by Stitcher's Guild. (Sadly down at the moment)

I already published about the skirt here, and the tee pattern is from the one I used for this dress. I just lengthened the sleeves and omitted the center back seam.

The right side of the fabric had some disturbing white fibers on it, giving a grayish color. So I used the wrong side instead.

LA robe simple en jersey

Pour arriver à coudre sa propre garde robe complète, il y a une idée récurrente sur le net, celle d'utiliser des patrons simples et rapides, testés et approuvés. Le jersey est un grand favori aussi, parce qu'il y a moins d'ajustements nécessaires et on ne s'embête pas avec des zips et des boutons (et leurs boutonnières !)
De façon non intentionnelle, je crois que je suis en train de mettre au point un patron de robe simple en jersey.

J'ai acheté ce tricot pailleté l'année dernière pour faire un gilet mais j'ai vite constaté que le tissu ne serait pas assez chaud. J'en ai donc fait une maxi robe, et là le résultat était pour moins... bizarre. Le projet en est donc resté là. Et puis il y a quelques jours je l'ai ressorti pour en faire un pull et ma fille et mon mari m'ont conseillée d'essayer d'abord une robe au genou. Ils avaient raison : ça fonctionne bien et je la porte avec plaisir.

The simple knit dress

In the wardrobe sewing online community there's this idea that you need quick and easy tried and true patterns to stick to your plan and be able to actually sew a whole wardrobe. And knits are favorites too, because fit is not a major problem for most people and you don't need zips or buttons (and buttonholes !).
And now I think I'm on my way to getting this knit dress TNT, although it was unintended.

Last year I bought this sequined knit fabric to make a cardigan, but quickly  found out it was not warm enough for this purpose. I had enough to make a maxi dress, so a maxi dress I made. Never finished it though because it felt weird. A few days ago I took the unfinished dress out from the closet and decided to turn it into a sweater. Then my daughter and husband suggested I tried it as a knee length garment before cutting out too much fabric. And they had a good idea because I feel really comfortable in it. 

I used dress pattern #1 from the 5/2015 Ottobre Magazine, without the side pockets.
